LOOK: Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero Are Now Married
Troy and Aubrey, who share two kids together, married on June 9 in civil rites after getting engaged last March.
Longtime couple Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero are officially married. On Thursday, June 9, the couple had a civil wedding in Mandaluyong. Family and friends posted photos of the wedding on Instagram Stories.
Those who attended include Troy’s brother KC and ABS-CBN reporter Gretchen Fullido.
The couple has been together for 18 years. Last March, Troy formally proposed to Aubrey while their family was staying in Boracay.
The couple has two kids–Hunter and Rocket. Troy is also a stepfather to Aubrey’s son Maurie from a previous relationship.
Raising a family
During an interview with Modern Parenting last December, the couple talked about how they have been raising their children.
“Every once in a while, they’ll forget that we used to discipline them in the same way. So when it happens, we usually remind them that they also went through something like that. Kind of like, the way we’re talking to the younger one, we usually see the older one roll their eyes a bit. But we’re quick to tell them that, ‘Hey, you were there, too. It’s just that you don’t remember.’ Then, we’ll tell them the backstory,” Troy says about their children who have wide age gaps.
“You know what? I don’t even know where I get the energy. It’s just there and I’m like, “Oh my God, I can do that?” Sometimes, I actually surprise myself after running around for an hour after Rocket. When you’re a parent, you discover things you can do that you didn’t know you could. With Maurie, he teaches us about everything online, and Hunter reminds us to stay active. With Rocket, it’s like a whole new world. She has a different attitude and character; they’re not the same,” Aubrey said of her children.
Congratulations to the newly weds!
