Lia Andrea Ramos of Glamourbox: Beauty is Power and Self-Discovery
Glamourbox’s She-EO, Lia Andrea Ramos, shares how Glamourbox and her parenting are a result of self-discovery.
This story first came out in Modern Parenting’s 2022 print edition.
Lia Andrea Ramos, founder of local beauty subscription brand Glamourbox shares that her parenting style gives room for her kids to discover and explore the world. “My daughters are still young but I wish to empower them to be themselves. To be confident, and to pursue what their passions are in life,” she shares.
Self-Discovery is the treasure within Glamourbox
This reflects the brand values Glamourbox espouses: discovery, accessibility, and empowerment. “Beauty is a journey and our brand provides an offering for our customers to discover the beauty routine that fits their lifestyle. We offer brands that are affordable, effective, clean, and cruelty-free. Our beauty products help both men and women feel good about themselves and bring out the confidence in themselves,” Lia explains.
As an inclusive and accessible brand, Glamourbox allows Filipinas to embrace their own beauty and help them innovate the beauty routine that works best for them. This is also best seen in their hero brand, Pixi, a skincare and makeup brand that is accessible, thoughtful, and innovative. “It’s about fuss-free makeup and skincare that makes you look like you had a good night’s sleep. The products are easy to use, packed with beneficial ingredients for the skin and it’s very affordable. As a mom on the go, I want a simple and uncomplicated beauty routine for day and night. I lean on products that are great for my skin and enhance my natural beauty,” she shares.
Empowering natural beauty!
As an advocate for natural beauty, Lia believes that beauty goes beyond applying makeup. Rather, it is about putting value on yourself and doing things that make you feel good from within. It’s the same philosophy she learned from her mom and would like to teach her kids.
“Growing up, I saw my mom get ready for work every day. I admired how she religiously put on her skincare and never leave home without lipstick on. I learned how to care for myself while watching her take care of herself well. In the same way, I would also like to instill in my kids about taking care of themselves, whether it’s putting on sunscreen or getting enough sleep.”
