Trailer for GOAT Reminds Kids That Size Doesn’t Matter
Stephen Curry’s new animated film drops in February 2026
Many kids—boys and girls alike—grow up dreaming of joining the big leagues. And while basketball is often seen as a sport where height gives players an advantage, countless athletes have proven that heart and grit can matter just as much. That spirit fuels the upcoming animated movie GOAT, produced by NBA superstar Stephen Curry, who also lends his voice to the film.
Dreaming big, no matter your size
In the trailer released on Wednesday, November 26, we meet Will—a small goat with an even bigger dream: to play Roarball and go pro in a league dominated by fast, powerful, and much larger animals.
When Will finally secures a spot on the team, not everyone is thrilled. To them, he’s too small, too slow, and, well, too different. But with the unwavering support of his mom, Will sets out to show that passion and determination can rise above any limitation. His mission? To change the game—and prove that size doesn’t define greatness.
The voice cast is star-studded, featuring Stephen Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, and David Harbour.

A new project from Sony
Alongside the trailer launch, Curry shared the official poster of the film, set to hit theaters in February 2026, with the caption: “Not your average goat.”
GOAT marks Sony Pictures Animation’s next major project following Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and KPop Demon Hunters. With Curry on board as producer, the film becomes more than just entertainment—it’s an inspiring introduction to sports for kids, encouraging them to tune out the doubters and trust in who they can become.
The film also offers a perfect conversation starter for parents and kids about dreaming big and reinforcing that with hard work and persistence, anything is possible.
A promising year for kids’ movies
With GOAT joining the lineup, 2026 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for family-friendly films across different studios. Beyond the laughs and action sequences, these movies offer lessons kids can carry with them—reminding them to dream boldly, persevere, and always aim to become the best version of themselves.
