Several Celebrities Take Part In Relief Operations For Flood Victims
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes together with several celebrities led in packing relief goods to be distributed to the victims of Super Typhoon Carina and monsoon rains
The bayanihan spirit among Filipinos has been activated again as several non-government organizations organized relief operations. Celebrities also joined in the help as they packed relief good for those affected by Super Typhoon Carina and the monsoon rains.
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes were among those who led in the packing and distributing of relief goods through GMA’s Kapuso Foundation. Dingdong, a reservist with the Philippine Navy was with Rocco Nacino and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez in distributing relief goods in Marikina.
Marian shared photos on her Instagram broadcast channel wherein her team including her kids Sixto and Zia were helping pack the relief goods she brought.

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo also activated the Starstruck PH truck wherein they sought for donations with the help of their management.
Suzi Abrera and Unang Hirit co-host Shaira Diaz were among those who distributed relief goods in Taytay, Rizal on Thursday, July 25. Black Rider stars Ruru Madrid and Jon Lucas also helped with the distribution on Friday, July 26.


In time of need
Gerald Anderson went viral on social media when he was seen rescuing a family in Quezon City at the height of the floods. Gerald is a reservist with the Philippine Coast Guard.
GMA Sparkle Artists were also rolling their sleeves in packing relief goods at the Kapuso Foundation.


It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda used his social media platforms to tweet and share operation reliefs.
Actor-director David Chua and singer Ronnie Liang also lend a hand in distributing relief goods. Both are reservists in the Philippine Army.
Donny Pangilinan was spotted at a restaurant in Maginhawa serving lugaw to be distributed to evacuees in Quezon City.

The National Capital Region was declared under a state of calamity as Carina battled Northern Luzon. On top of NCR, Pampanga, and Bulacan were by the rising waters, stalling traffic for several hours.
Carina left the Philippines early Thursday as it made its way to Taiwan. The total number of casualties has yet to be determined by the government.
