Having diabetes is not a joke especially when you find out your child has been diagnosed with type 1. Chrissy Teigen knows this well and has since given updates about her son Miles’ condition.
On July 31, the model and cookbook author thanked everyone for their support after they expressed concern over Miles, who she said got a “terrible case of shigella.”
She later discovered that the infection was more than shigella.
The doctors knew something else was off about his blood tests,” she shared. “After more testing, we learned he is in the ‘honeymoon period’ of a lifetime of [Type 1 diabetes].”
Chrissy said that following the diagnosis, they’ve given Miles insulin and slowly adjusted to his condition.
” A different new world for us and we are certainly learning so much on the fly.”
We got you Miles!
While it’s not easy for any parent to see their child battle diabetes at an early age, Miles is already doing good and we hope he will get better. He’s a hero already to his siblings!
