Chrissy Teigen Welcomes Baby Number 4 Via Surrogate
After welcoming daughter Esti early this year, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shared they welcomed another baby via a surrogate.
Last Thursday, June 29, model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen shared on Instagram that she and her husband, musician John Legend, welcomed their son through a surrogate.
The baby named Wren Alexander joins siblings Esti, Miles, and Luna. Wren Alexander came just months after the couple welcomed Esti.
A dream come true for Chrissy
In an Instagram post, Chrissy narrated that she always dreamed of having four children, recalling her childhood memories of playing with dolls and the Pound Puppies. When she and John lost their son, Jack, she thought it wouldn’t be possible to have kids anymore.
She then shared that she and John were already talking to a surrogacy agency and thinking of having another child before Esti’s arrival.
When she started the IVF process for their third child, it was a success, and later had Esti. But little did they know that the surrogate they got, Alexandra, would also get pregnant with their fourth child, Wren Alexander.
“I knew she was a perfect match for us the moment we spoke to her,” Chrissy said of Alexandra. “I wanted to be her friend, wanted our children to play, wanted to have dinner together. And I wanted to lay my head on her belly and be able to feel hiccups and kicks.”

Following the challenges they went through, Chrissy was overjoyed to find out that Alexandra was finally able to conceive the baby boy they wanted to have.
“Just minutes before midnight on June 19th, I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate give birth amidst a bit of chaos. But with strength, and pure joy and love.”

Chrissy ended the post by thanking Alexandra. “And we are so happy to tell the world he is here. With a name forever connected to you, Wren Alexander Stephens.”
