Fur Baby Gabrielle Wins Nathalie Hart’s Heart

After donating her winnings from Family Feud, Nathalie Hart and Penelope adopt a sweet stray: Gabrielle.

Family Feud may have been a game show mostly for laughs. But they also have a segment where contestants can donate the money they earn to a charity of choice which celebrity mom Nathalie Hart took advantage of. Earning PHP 25,000.00 from that segment, she then donated it to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). But besides donating her earnings, Nathalie Hart and her daughter, Penelope, fell in love with a rescued stray: Gabrielle.

Cats are not as anti-social as people think!

Many Filipinos prefer dogs because cats seem to be indifferent to their presence. But cats are actually sociable creatures and will “choose” their human. When their old lives or homes collapse and fall apart, they seek out someone to bond with. Although it will take them a while to come out of their shell, it didn’t seem hard for the kitty rescue Gabrielle to bond immediately with the mother-daughter duo.

Celebrity mom Nathalie Hart also wished she could help every stray find its furever home. “My heart is shattered that I can’t help everyone in the shelter, but I also decided that I would adopt Gabrielle (Gaby) to my home.”

Moreover, she shared that the adoption process only takes PHP500.00. While there is a premium for purebred cats, stray cats are just as affectionate.

Don’t be afraid to adopt!

While we can be picky about how our pets look, a lot of these strays are possibly even more affectionate than those from the breeders. Many of these strays had a hard life and are just looking for a home to stay in and a human to love. If Gabrielle found its “furever home” with Nathalie Hart and Penelope, we can help many of the strays in the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) find their “furever homes,” too.
