Hannah Arnold is Excited to Compete and See Her Family at the 60th Miss International Competition

Hannah, who is set to represent the Philippines in the 60th Miss International pageant in Tokyo, hopes to bring home the country’s 7th crown.

Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold is all set to fly to Tokyo, Japan for the 60th Miss International pageant. But more than competing for the country’s 7th crown, the half-Filipina, half-Australian Forensic Science graduate is looking forward to reuniting with her family, who will be flying from Australia.

“My dad isn’t coming to Japan but I will have a reunion with my family and even some relatives from here will be coming,” Hannah told reporters during her send-off on November 15 at Novotel in Araneta City, Quezon City. “It’s going to be the best thing for me seeing their faces in the crowd. Because I believe that they purchased the tickets right near the stage.”

“I just can’t wait to hug them. Again, I am just so grateful for my family and their never-ending support. They’ve been waiting for this moment,” she added.

A Christmas gift for the Philippines

Hannah is aware of the expectations on her shoulders to bring back the 7th Miss International crown. But if there’s one thing she can promise, it is to do her best in the competition.

“I can promise that I will put in my 100% and I am going to have all of you there in my mind, in my heart,” Hannah said. “I am not just doing this for myself but I am also doing this for the Philippines. We waited for this moment and it’s time to bring back the 7th crown.”

Aside from her preparations, Hannah is looking forward to speaking more about her causes, too. For this year’s Miss International competition, the organization is supporting the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals. Hannah is hoping to discuss more Science and Technology topics. She serves as one of the Department of Science and Technology’s ambassadors.

“Innovation is one of the goals, so that’s where Science and Technology fit. And we all know that the Japanese are very advanced with technology and science energy. So I really hope I get the chance to speak to someone about that,” she shared.

The Miss International competition is scheduled for December 13.
