How Samantha Bernardo Welcomed Son Sebastian Surrounded by Love and Support

The beauty queen shares how trust, support, and faith shaped her journey into motherhood

Beauty queen and Pinoy Big Brother alumna Samantha Bernardo is now a mother.

On June 13, Samantha and her husband, Scott Moore, introduced their son, Sebastian Bernardo Moore, who was born on May 31 through a water birth at home. In an emotional Instagram Reel, the first-time mom shared the story of Sebastian’s arrival—a birth experience she described as peaceful, empowering, and deeply meaningful.

A Birthday Surprise for Dad

As it turned out, Sebastian’s birth came with an extra layer of significance. The day Samantha went into labor was also Scott’s birthday.

The couple spent the day doing ordinary things together—walking their dog, cooking a simple meal, and enjoying each other’s company. But by evening, Samantha began noticing changes in her body.

“We spent the day simply. We walked @darnathedoodle, cooked and ate steak and eggs, and even practiced parking in my car. Nothing extraordinary… yet,” she recalled.

As the night went on, Samantha felt increasingly certain that labor had begun.

“I looked at Scott and said, ‘I think it’s TIME!'”

After dinner, she took a shower and contacted the birth team that would help guide them through the experience. By 11:30 p.m., everyone had arrived, and things quickly progressed.

“There came a point where I stopped trying to control anything. All I could do was surrender, trust my body, and repeat in my mind: LET GO AND LET GOD.”

Just before 2 a.m., in the quiet of their home and surrounded by loved ones, Sebastian made his arrival.

“In the quiet of our home, surrounded by love, support, and peace, our son made his way into the world. Just before 2 AM, as we welcomed a brand new month, we finally met Seb.”
