Christmas is just around the corner which means it’s also the Metro Manila Film Festival! After two years of doing it online, the festival returns with a Parade of Stars on December 21 to be held in Quezon City. This year’s lineup is composed of films that families can check out as their way of bonding. From heavy drama to thriller, we give you the trailers of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

Labyu with an Accent (Star Cinema)

Coco Martin returns to the big screen with Asian Creative Academy Award’s Best Actress Jodi Sta. Maria in the romantic-comedy Labyu with an Accent under the direction of Coco himself and Malu Sevilla. The movie was partly shot in Los Angeles, USA.

Partners in Crime (Star Cinema and Viva Films)

Another Metro Manila Film Festival mainstay, Vice Ganda this time returns with Ivana Alawi in the comedy film Partners in Crime under the direction of Cathy Garcia Molina.

Deleter (Viva Films)

Nadine Lustre stars as Lyra, who works for a company as a content moderator. Things, however, turn creepy when Aileen, a colleague, returns to make her presence felt.

Family Matters (CineKo Productions)

Grab your tissues when you watch Family Matters as director Nuel Naval tells the story of couple Francisco (Noel Trinidad) and Eleanor (Liza Lorena) and their family. The story is definitely relatable for the Filipino family.

My Father, Myself (3:16 Media Network)

Jake Cuenca, Dimples Romana, and Sean de Guzman lead the cast of the film under the direction of Joel Lamangan.

My Teacher (TinCan Productions and Ten17P)

Toni Gonzaga reunites with one of her original mentors, Eat Bulaga‘s, Joey de Leon. The film is about the story of teachers and students, and is under the direction of Paul Soriano.

Mamasapano (Boraracho Film Productions)

What really happened during the botched operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that led to the death of many soldiers? Edu Manzano, Aljur Abrenica, Paolo Gumabao, and Claudine Barretto star in the movie based on the events of the 2015 Mamasapano clash.

Nanahimik ang Gabi (Rein Entertainment)

Ian Veneracion and Heaven Peralejo team up in this thriller movie under the direction of Shugo Praico.
