Michelle Madrigal Reveals Her Insights on the Meaning of Divorce
Michelle Madrigal, who was previously married to Troy Woolfork, shared her thoughts on life after getting divorced.
Former actress and content creator Michelle Madrigal took to Instagram on April 5 about the meaning of divorce. Michelle, who has a daughter Annika with ex-husband Troy Woolfork, wrote what it may feel like in the beginning for some people.
“Always choose you,” she began the post. “After a divorce, you may feel liberated to reclaim your own identity and pursue your goals and passions without distractions or compromises.”
“You may rediscover your own values and priorities that might have been neglected or suppressed during the marriage.”
The former Star Circle Quest member added that the truth can help in “cultivating deeper self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-care.” It also means time to really ask what the person truly wants and to communicate it with the future partner and other people.
Michelle Madrigal: Divorce is not easy for many
But Michelle, who is now based in the US, also pointed out that the journey after divorce is not easy for many and is not a linear one.
“It may involve some setbacks, doubts, or fears as you step out of your comfort zone and face new challenges. But with the right support from friends, family, therapy, or other sources, you can gradually rebuild your confidence, trust, and happiness on your own terms,” she reflected.
“Ultimately, freedom after divorce is not about avoiding or rejecting relationships altogether, but rather about cultivating healthy, fulfilling, and authentic relationships that support your growth and well-being. It’s about staying true to yourself and your values, and not settling for less than you deserve.”
Back in August, Michelle answered a series of questions about her life in the US. She said that she and Troy are on good terms and that he is aware of her dating again. She also previously introduced the guy she’s dating on Instagram.
Michelle and Troy’s divorce was finalized in 2021.
