Meet the modern parents shaping the future of the family

Nikki Viola
As a single mom and advocate for family support, Nikki uses her platform as a TV & events host and mom influencer to promote environments where children can feel safe, valued, and empowered. A proud mother to Adeona (5) , she nurtures a loving home where love is defined by presence, care, and connection, not structure. Nikki raises her daughter with openness, encouraging her to explore the world confidently while knowing she is deeply supported. “One value I would love my daughter to carry with her is kindness. Kindness can really make the world a better place,” she says.

Niña Corpuz Rodriguez
A seasoned broadcast journalist, entrepreneur and advocate for Filipino weaveres, the brand Niña Inabel advocates for Filipino craftsmanship while staying connected to heritage. As a mom to Stella (13) , Emily (11) , and Luke (8) , she navigates the evolving landscape of modern family life, from blended and geographically distant households to keeping her children grounded in routines and rituals that promote connection. “We make it a point to use tools available to make it feel like we’re together, like having our. group chat or doing regular video calls,” she shares. She encourages them to value family as a safe space, a home they can always rely on, no matter how divided the world around them feels. “The one value I hope my children carry is compassion,” she says, “to look at people beyond the surface, respect others, and act with kindness always.”

Nina Ellaine Dizon
Having pursued her passion while nurturing a family, Nina—founder and CEO of Colourette Cosmetics—views her journey of modern motherhood as one rooted in love, resilience, and purpose. As a proud mother to Kurt Nathan (10) and Kelsey Nathalie (8) , she’s learned invaluable lessons about growth, creating spaces where her children can thrive, and encouraging them to express themselves freely. “The future of families is progressive—these kids are smart, grounded, open, vocal, and resilient. These children have been raising me to be the best version of myself so then I can be the best mother to them,” she says. Nina hopes her children will be kind to themselves even when no one else is, and hold fast to their self- belief and love for others.

Pam Solilapsi Guerrero
Working in advertising and PR can be very demanding, but Pam, managing director at Yellow Brick Media and a partner at nightlife establishment Palace and Tipsy Pig restaurant, makes it look like a breeze. She channels her creativity and heart into her role as a mother to Gigi (1) , finding inspiration in everyday moments. In this ever-evolving world, Pam hopes to raise her daughter to be grounded yet adaptable, embracing progress without losing sight of what truly matters. “No matter how the world changes, I hope she will stay true to herself, leading with confidence, compassion, and integrity,” she shares.

Paolo Abrera and Suzette Entrata Abrera
In the Abrera home, family life has always been shaped by warmth, wit, and nurture. After decades in media, Suzi has learned that the real glue of family is presence, sharing: “We have a family practice where we play analog games after dinner… it helps us appreciate the simple joy in playing and laughing together.” Paolo, long known for championing wellness and mindful living aside from being a media personality, believes family is less a structure and more a feeling: “Family is wherever you feel safe, happy, and loved.” And in raising Leona (22) , Jade (20) , and Nella (19) , they’ve focused on grounding their girls in values that matter—critical thinking, courage, and integrity. “I want our kids to always be
critical thinkers, people who can navigate what’s real and what’s not,” Paolo says. Hope is simple but profound and if their girls continue to live life with dignity and honesty, they can keep their heads held high knowing they earned everything they have.

Patricia Santos Yao
Encouraging confidence and individuality through her craft, fashion designer Patricia also dedicates herself to mentoring the next generation of Filipino creatives. At home, she brings the same intentionality to raising her daughter Bean (2) focusing on meaningful connection and nurturing resilience. “I hope she learns to stay kind, grounded, and strong no matter how fast the world changes,” Patricia says. She adds, “Even as we support her every step of the way, I want her to develop independence and perseverance, knowing she can overcome anything and achieve what she sets her mind to.” Through her work and motherhood, Patricia models a life of purpose, courage, and care—showing that intention in small moments can shape a child’s future as much as any grand vision.

Pau Del Rio
Passionate about inspiring others and promoting self-expression through beauty and self-expression, entrepreneur and content creator Pau is a force in the local beauty and lifestyle space, having founded Paulash, Burvon, and Glam Hour. As a mother to Avior (2) , she takes her passion for inspiring confidence with intentional parenting, encouraging curiosity, empathy, and independence. “I want Avior to explore the world confidently while always knowing she has a safe and loving foundation at home,” Pau shares. As her daughter grows into the person she is becoming, Pau hopes that she will always carry the values of passion and perseverance, while staying true to herself, pursuing her dreams, and treating others with kindness and respect.

Pauline Suaco Juan
Watching her children step into the world on their own is a bittersweet stage for seasoned editor Pauline, mother to Elias (24) , Roque (22) , and Max (17) . “It’s not easy—the economy’s uncertain, and technology, especially AI, is rapidly changing how we live and work,” she reflects. “[My husband] Raffy and I can only hope we’ve given them what truly matters: the fortitude to stand by their vision and values, and the compassion to balance ambition with kindness.” As it is now her children’s turn to chase passions, make mistakes, and learn how to lead, Pauline maintains a safe, grounding presence—always ready with mechado and open arms when they come home.

Rachel Kelly Davis
For Rachel, the future of her family is shaped by truth, openness and communication. As a mother of three, she’s intent on raising children who are grounded and self-aware—young people who pause long enough to see the world through someone else’s eyes and to think with intention. She hopes they’ll find joy in life’s simplest moments, understand the true power of kindness and meet the world around them with respect, grace and an open heart.

Rachelle Bravo
Much like the ethos behind New Lounge, Rachelle’s thoughtfully crafted sanctuary of self-care, offering elevated beauty experiences that celebrate confidence, and modern femininity, her north star is purpose. And she works to cultivate it within her own family, even amid life’s inevitable noise. As mom to Lyon, Franco and Riley, she anchors her children in stillness, gratitude and togetherness. And if there are lessons she hopes they’ll carry with them wherever life leads, it’s to love deeply and hold fast to their faith.
