Return to the Spotlight
Rihanna’s Superbowl appearance is the first time that she performed after taking time off to become a mother. Her most recent project was the song “Lift Me Up” as part of the Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Prior to the performance, The “Diamonds” singer admitted that she is nervous about being onstage again after a long time.
“So as scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. And it’s important for me to do this, this year. It’s important for representation, it’s important for my son to see that,” she told Reuters.
The Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrich Mahomes won over the Philadephia Eagles to win their second Super Bowl in four years.
