Sandra Lemonon Rediscovers Herself After Postpartum Journey

Sandra Lemonon says she is now embracing the new version of herself after welcoming her son Zaiah with partner Sol Mercado.

Former Miss Universe Philippines candidate Sandra Lemonon then took to social media to share that she has been working on herself after welcoming her son with her partner, PBA player Sol Mercado.

On Thursday, March 16, the French-Filipina beauty queen wrote she’s now “feeling herself” since Zaiah’s birth.

“From the ups and downs of all the hormones/identity shifts, I am starting to discover and enjoy this new version of me,” she said.

Postpartum, she added, was not an easy battle. But it taught her a lot, especially humility.

“It showed me that in moments where I thought/ felt I wasn’t capable enough/doing a good job or what was ‘right’ all along, I had the strength to do that and so much more.”

Sandra Lemonon: Letting go of the past

Sandra continued by sharing that the postpartum journey has made her realize to let go of her life before Zaiah’s arrival.

“It pushed me to break and rebuild in many ways I never expected,” she pointed out. “By starting with mourning my past self/life & letting go and knowing that part of me/chapter will forever be with me, but that time has come to an end and a new Sandra has been born.”

Explaining that there’s “no going back or snapping back,” Sandra said she is now embracing everything, including the hard times.

“So proud of myself for being loving/patient with my body/mind and spirit as I learn to navigate this wild but fulfilling part of my life.”
