WATCH: Vina Morales Walks for MUSA in New York Fashion Week

The singer, actress, and mother of one recently graced New York Fashion Week, walking for designer Joy Soo.

Actress and singer Vina Morales got the opportunity to walk on the runway of New York Fashion Week. In an Instagram video on September 15, Vina shared a clip of her runway debut for the House of Musa.

“Such an honor to do the grand finale walk at the New York Fashion Week of Musa for a good cause. The Musa Advocacy that I am supporting helps the prisoners and indigenous tribes in Davao del Norte to have better lives,” she wrote.

“A little trivia is that my great, great grandmother who married an American soldier during the war is from a Tagakaulo tribe which originates from Davao del Sur.”

She congratulated designer Joy Soo, who thanked her for saying yes to the cause, too.

“You never had a second thought dhaii Vina that moment I asked you the favor to walk for Musa. Thaaaaaaank you so much for being a part of this Advocacy in Davao Del Norte. We are so much grateful most especially the prisoners and the tribal women, they will be very happy to see this photo. I will print this including your post for them to see inside the jail and in the mountains. DAGHAN KAAYUNG SALAMAT!!!!” the designer wrote.

Vina Morales is in the US for a concert tour

Vina, who is in the US for a concert series, also got to meet up with some fellow Filipinos such as fashion designers Michael Cinco and Bessie Besana. She shared that a billboard for Musa was featured in Times Square as well.

Vina Morales, known for songs such as “Sa Puso Ko” and “Tell Me You Love Me” is the sister of actress Shaina Magdayao. She has a daughter, Ceana, with ex-boyfriend Cedric Lee.
