We Bare Bears: 5 Reasons Why They’re Still a Hit with Kids
The We Bare Bears still hold a special place in a lot of kids’ hearts
The We Bare Bears are not new. Since the show first aired in 2015, the three characters, Grizzly, Panda, and Ice Bear, have been entertaining kids worldwide. They have become a favorite to watch. Different merchandise of them are also still in demand to this day!
In 2020, kids rejoiced when the three returned for a movie special—reigniting the time they spent watching the show. Here are five reasons why it’s still a show that kids and adults love to watch over and over again.
Why Kids Still Love the We Bare Bears
1. The show is not long
Episodes of the show last about 11 to 20 minutes. This is perfect for those who have a short attention span but want to be entertained.
2. Everyone can relate to their personalities
Each character has a different personality that everyone can relate to. Grizzly, for example, is fun and outgoing but tends to be naive. Panda, on the other hand, tends to be shy and gentle while Ice, who is the youngest, tends to be the most mature one and has a better keen sense of danger than his brothers.
3. Creator Daniel Chong put modern references that kids can relate to
In a 2017 interview with Mashable, Daniel Chong, the creator of the show said that he made sure to put a lot of references in relation to the audience.
“We do like to make fun of trends, but we have to be very careful that they’re not things that we know are going to go away quickly,” he said.
4. The bears find themselves in various situations
The characters find themselves living in San Francisco and adapting to modern human life. Every episode sees them in different types of situations, testing their relationship as brothers and the friends they made around them.
5. Kids can rewatch all episodes and the movie via Netflix and online
If you love the show so much, then you are in for a treat. The first season of the show is now available via Netflix and the full episodes of the Origin Story series are available on the Cartoon Network YouTube page. That way, you can watch over and over again.
A Nostalgic Show
Shows like these will always be nostalgic for a lot of kids and adults. A lot of shows these days are just about entertainment with no values taught. So if you’re looking for something your kids can watch, then the We Bare Bears might be something you can recommend to them.
