How Ximena Navarrete Celebrates Her 13th Crowning Anniversary With Her Daughter
Last August 23, Ximena Navarrete celebrated her crowning anniversary as Miss Universe by posing alongside her daughter wearing her crown and sash.
It’s been 13 years since Mexico’s Ximena Navarrete won the Miss Universe title in Las Vegas and last August 23, the date of her crowning, she shared a cute reel of her and her daughter parading in her crown, sash, and red dress.
Written in Spanish, the model and mom of two wrote: “Who knew I’d be so lucky to have this doll that she seems to like the idea that she didn’t have to compete or move a single finger to have her own Miss Universe band and crown (especially in the last photo). Xime, hopefully [that] someday when you grow up you feel very proud of your mom, that you always know that the beauty of the soul is the one that accompanies us to the end and that you are already MY WHOLE UNIVERSE!!”

Prior to the photo, Ximena, who became Mexico’s second title holder, posted a throwback of her crowning moment.
“Thirteen years ago today my life changed forever when I won @missuniverse … 13 years later I remember and celebrated August 23, 2010, with the same emotion I experienced that day representing Mexico. Thanks to everyone who remembers this special day of my life with me. I love you!!”

Still a queen
Following her crowning moment in Las Vegas in 2010, the doors for Ximena have opened. Aside from being Mexico’s second Miss Universe, she has dabbled in modeling, hosting, and acting. She would later return to the Miss Universe stage as a member of the selection committee during the 71st edition held in New Orleans last January.
Ximena is married to Juan Carlos Vallardes with whom she shares two daughters.

Her year was also special for the Philippines as Venus Raj would later bring back the country to the semifinals. She placed 4th runner-up that year.
