Thanks to social media, parents can now check on Filipino food content creators whose recipes they can scroll and try for their kids. Food content creators like Ninong Ry, Erwan Heussaff, Modern Nanay, and Hazel Cheffy have gained a following because of their recipes, cooking styles, and lessons for viewers.

With 2.3 million followers on TikTok, 208,000 followers on Instagram, 4.9 million on Facebook, and 330,000 on YouTube, Chef Obang has earned herself a niche in the food content category. With her witty personality in cooking and transforming ingredients to food that families and amateur cooks can try, it’s no wonder that she has been approached for collaborations and partnerships with brands and her fellow content creators.
Fred Quieng
Fred Quieng is perhaps known for calling her followers “best friend.” With close to a million followers on TikTok and 301,000 on Instagram, Fred has become one of the go-to collaborators of food companies. Some of the recipes she made include corn muffins, ube mamon, and buttered garlic shrimp.
The Chef YLYT TV
Ylyt Frixiah Manaig, known on social media as Chef Ylyt is a private chef who has lent her expertise in whipping up healthy and delicious dishes. Some of the dishes she has shared on her account include various soups, smoothies, and curry.
On top of cooking, chef Ylyt has shared some part of her life including returning to culinary school and her wedding to her longtime boyfriend. She is currently signed to GMA Sparkle Artist Center.
Naomi Peña
Naomi Peña would be recognizable to audiences as one of the former 26K Girls from Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal. She also appeared as an extra in some shows.
Now married and with kids, Naomi is popularly known for promoting food and collaborating for her food blogs. Her YouTube channel boasts of 350,000 plus followers and was awarded as one of TikTok’s Top Food Creator of 2023.
Naomi, who is part of a group of food vloggers called Team Patakam also shared some advice in a 2023 interview with Philstar about being a food content creator.
“Pag first time ka pa lang nag-vlog at hindi ka naman artista, dapat nakiki-trending ka lang muna. Kailangan mo munang makiuso ka talaga. Nag-content ako ng mukbang tapos don ko nakita na dumami ‘yung followers ko at subscribers. Talagang nag-boom ‘yung channel ko.”
Ralph Villacorte aka Daddycooks PH
Based in Leyte, Ralph Villacorte or Daddycooks PH has collaborated with several food brands, ranging from a fastfood chain to spam. He and his wife Regen also share their family life on their social media accounts.
Some of Ralph’s recipes include his version of afritada, bang bang shrimp, and his versions of homemade sauces and spreads such as nutella and peanut butter. Three of his content – homemade adobo, homemade spam, and paklay Visaya are the most viewed on his TikTok account.
Panlasang Pinoy
Vanjo Merano, known as Panlasang Pinoy has become synonymous with food in the US. Based in Chicago, he has his own website panlasangpinoy, where he shares many Filipino recipes.. He has also been featured in several publications.
With a following of 7.6 million on YouTube alone, it’s no wonder Panlasang Pinoy is one of the go-to food vloggers. Aside from his recipes, he has also collaborated with some of his contemporaries. Vanjo also occasionally shares updates on his family, including his two daughters.
Chef Mark Joseph
Looking on his Instagram feed, Chef Mark Joseph‘s cooking presentation is very much minimalist. He’s one of today’s popular food content creators and he’ll gladly share recipes he made such as his Cheesy baked aubergines and Grilled Pork Steaks with Pineapple rice.
On top of his food, Chef Mark also shares photos of his family and lifestyle events he gets invited to. He has a large following on TikTok at 573,000 plus.
Kath and Gene
Couple Kath Lim-Barcelo and Gene Anthony Barcelo or Kath and Gene on social media not only share their love for food but lifestyle in general. Their love of food and cooking made them part of the Top 10 food creators of 2021 in TikTok with a following of close to 617,000.
The couple has also been approached by several food brands including a seasoning brand, graham, and chips to name a few.
Grace Tanfelix
If Grace Tanfelix‘s family name sounds familiar, it’s because she is the mom of Voltes V actor and Sparkle Artist Miguel Tanfelix. On her TikTok, Grace shares some of her family’s favorite dishes including kalderetang spareribs, a favorite of Miguel.
Aside from food, Grace would share a bit of happenings with her two sons. Sometimes, she and Miguel would do a TikTok dance or their outings during their free time.
