Danica Sotto-Pingris Shares Message to Children of Separated Parents
Danica, daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie says children of separated parents are not ‘doomed’ to make the same mistake if ever they get married
Danica Sotto-Pingris posted a powerful reminder to children of separated parents, saying that their mistake is not something that they should blame themselves for.
In a Facebook post on February 8, Danica, whose parents Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie separated when she was young wrote: “You are not doomed to repeat the mistakes of your parents. You will find love and you have love kasi you learned from what they did wrong. Marriage lang nila ang nag end pero ikaw hindi… you are not broken.”
Danica, who is married to former PBA player Marc Pingris, told her followers to seek guidance from God.
“Ask God to help and guide you. Kasi if we genuinely experience and understand God’s love. You won’t need to prove yourself to other people. You know na buo ka kasi HE fills in the gaps. Yung di kayang punuin ng mga tao lang.”
The post was accompanied by photos of Danica along with Vic and Dina during her wedding.
Happy Family
Although Vic and Dina did not end up together, the couple is now happy in their respective relationships. Vic is married to actress and host Pauleen Luna. They have a daughter, Tali.
Dina, who was last seen in the teleserye The World Between Us is married to Ilocos Sur politician Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano. Aside from Danica, Dina also has a son with Vic, Oyo.
