Family Films Lead List of Metro Manila Film Festival 2023
Families are in for a treat as the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 already has four heartwarming movies lined up.
The first four films for the 49th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 were announced last Monday, July 10. These films are based on the scripts submitted. Leading the first set are two family films. A Mother and Son’s Story starring Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards, and Rewind, starring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

The horror thriller movie (K)AMPON, starring Derek Ramsay and Beauty Gonzalez, and fantasy action Penduko, led by Matteo Guidecelli and Cristine Reyes round up the list.

Next round of announcements in September
The remaining four films, which are supposed to be finished films, will be announced on September 29. Organizers are hoping to top last year’s festival which earned around PHP 500 million.
Held every Christmas season, the Metro Manila Film Festival showcases the best Filipino films for families to watch. It’s always something that every Filipino looks forward to. And this year is no different!
Last year’s festival saw Deleter winning some of the big awards including Best Actress for Nadine Lustre.
