Usher Marries Longtime Love Jennifer Goicoechea in Las Vegas
(UPDATED) Following his Super Bowl halftime performance, Usher reportedly married his girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea in Las Vegas.
Singer Usher is a married man for the second time. The “Yeah” R&B singer married his longtime girlfriend, music executive Jennifer Goicoechea according to People on February 11.
Usher’s mom Jonetta Patton witnessed the ceremony. The wedding took place in Las Vegas, where the singer performed during the Super Bowl halftime at the Allegiant Stadium.
Based on the marriage certificate obtained by People, the couple married at the Terrace Gazebo, which houses 30 guests. Usher was photographed wearing a gold band following his performance. At the same time, Jennifer was seen wearing an all-white pantsuit.
On February 14, U.S. time, Usher confirmed the news as he shared some photos of the wedding with the caption: ” One of them Ones 💍 2.11.24.”
Making it official
News of the wedding comes after it was reported that the couple obtained a marriage license as Usher geared up for the Super Bowl performance. The couple have been together for quite some time now, sharing two children. Usher has two other kids with his ex-wife Tamika Foster.
In an interview with People before his Super Bowl performance, the “Nice and Slow” singer shed some light on getting together with Jennifer.
“We’ve obviously made a commitment to live for life together because of our children,” he said. ” “It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married. We already did here. You know what I’m saying?”
“And we’re going to be in each other’s lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. That’s beautiful. Our children. But not because of that. I really do feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect.”
While the couple have crossed several times in the past years, it wasn’t until 2019 that the two were reportedly seeing each other after a birthday party of a common friend.
Aside from his Super Bowl performance, Usher is currently promoting his new album Coming Home, and gearing up for a new tour in the U.S.
