It Was Merry And Bright At Modern Parenting’s 100 List Launch 2024
Modern Parenting ends its 2024 with the release of the annual 100 list featuring young moms Janella Salvador and Elisse Joson
The spirit of the holidays was felt in Pulong at Fashion Interiors, Makati City on December 16 as guests came to celebrate the launch of Modern Parenting’s fourth anniversary print issue featuring young moms Janella Salvador and Elisse Joson, and the much awaited The 100 List of 2024.
Food and drinks overflowed from Kitchen City, Feliz Dish and Details, Berry’s Deli, Happy Living Wines and Hilltop by Everyday Coffee Roasters.
Guests were also treated to fun activities courtesy of this year’s sponsors led by Buscopan Venus and Dermtropics.
Break time for moms
Modern Parenting’s editor-in-chief, Marga Tupaz, greeted guests as they were ushered in for photos and caught up with one another.
Cover star Janella Salvador dropped by to mingle and take photos with guests and take time to bond with fellow parents. Elisse Joson, who could not go, shared a short message on Instagram Stories for everyone following the cover reveal.
“It was such an insightful and fun interview to be part of. Being a mom in this generation isn’t easy so if you have the time, check out the Modern Parenting issue,” she wrote.
Some of the parents featured in the 100 list were also in attendance. Sisters Loralee Baron Soong of SoFA Manila and Claud Baron Paulino of Retail Lab, Move Beyond Cancer Founder April Perreras, Nice Print’s Charisse Tinio, Designers Yoya Gueco of YOYA, Bibai Gaisano Puyat of Christiana Manila, Jewelers Niña Cuenca of Atelier 818 and Sharlynne Cabigas of Suki Jewelry, and beauty queens Katarina Rodriguez, Steffy Gerona and Valerie Weigmann were spotted at the event. Modern Parenting November cover Bianca Brandner and event sponsors Margax Lucena of Dermtropics, Janine Khazaie of Massage MNL and Khozy Lounge, Berry Tenchavez Stehmeier of Berry’s Deli also dropped by along with host Issa Litton, Pat Pastelero-Tañedo of Spruce Designs, Chal Lontoc del Rosario of Jeron Travel and many more as they joined in on the fun.
And what is Modern Parenting without the much-awaited raffle draw? Several guests went home with prizes courtesy of the Organics.Ph, Strip and Browhaus, Dermtropics, The Beauty Edit, Onelife Pilates, Eye Society, and Khozy Lounge. Spectrumed gave away two Sofwave treatments as the grand prizes!

Modern Parentings’s editor-in-chief Marga Tupaz says in her Editor’s Note, “As parents, I think we are all genetically wired to aspire for perfection instead of self- actualization, therefore we end up prodding our kids to give importance to success rather than purpose. If there’s one thing I am certain of, it’s that in parenting, the learning never stops. We evolve, we adapt and we are constantly changing.” She also lays preempts some exciting plans for the publication in 2025, “I’m so proud to let you all know that Modern Parenting will focus more on community-building, dialogues and collaborations—it’s a direction that deeply resonates with me, and I hope it does with you too.”
“This holiday season, I wish you and all your loved ones good health, happiness and peace. Parents, just keep going and remember that your greatest contribution to the universe may not be something you do, but someone you raise,” she concludes.
