June, the month we celebrate Father’s Day, became extra meaningful for three celebrities who stepped into — or further embraced — fatherhood. Paolo Paraiso and Mark Herras welcomed new additions to their growing families, while Cedrick Juan experienced being a first-time dad.

Paolo Paraiso Welcomes a Baby Girl on Father’s Day

Actor Paolo Paraiso and his wife Jessica Sto. Domingo welcomed their baby girl, Katerina, on Father’s Day, making the celebration even more special.

In an Instagram post, the Batang Quiapo actor wrote, “Father’s Day this year is more of a welcome party,” alongside a sweet photo of his two sons, Tomas and Lucas, visiting him before the arrival of their sister. “Happy Dad day to me. The kuyas[are] visiting me while we wait for the little one. Oh, happy day.”

Since her birth, Paolo has been sharing photos of his moments with Katerina, from putting her to sleep to their daily dose of Vitamin D under the morning sun.

Cedrick Juan Celebrates Fatherhood on His Birthday

While Paolo celebrated becoming a father for the third time, it was a first for GOMBURZA star Cedrick Juan. He and his wife, actress Kate Alejandrino, welcomed their son, Jose Rocio, on June 18 and announced the news on June 26 — Cedrick’s birthday.

In a heartfelt letter posted on Instagram, Cedrick reflected on the powerful moment he became a dad: “Unang iyak mo pa lang, namangha na ako sa tinig mo. Maraming nangyayari sa paligid pero nakatitig lang ako sa’yo. Puno ng galak ang puso at kaluluwa dahil sa wakas ay mahahawakan, mahahalikan, mayayakap at mabubuhat ka na namin, anak.”

He also paid tribute to Kate, honoring her strength throughout pregnancy and childbirth: Sobrang bilib ako sa tapang at lakas mo… Iba kayong mga babae at mga ina—hindi sapat ang mga salita kung gaano kita, kayo hinahangaan.”

It’s been a milestone-filled year for the couple, from announcing their engagement in February to tying the knot in an intimate ceremony. Cedrick also appeared as the young Makisig in the Metro Manila Film Festival film The Kingdom, starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual.

Mark Herras’ Growing Family

On June 25, Mark Herras shared the news of his newborn daughter’s arrival with a simple but heartfelt Instagram caption: “MiJA 6-25-2025.” This marks his second child with wife Nicole Donesa; the couple also has a son, Corky, born in January 2021. Mark also has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Several of his friends congratulated him. Paolo Paraiso, who became a dad like him for the third time, wrote: “Congrats bro! Batchmate tayo.”

In return, Mark replied: “Hahaha yaaas Tito Pao!”

In a 2023 interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Mark opened up about how being raised by a gay couple — Daddy Jun and Tito Hermie — shaped the father he is today: “Dahil sa pagpapalaki sa akin nung dalawa… I’ll do anything, kahit ano pa yan, kaya ko isakripisyo para sa anak ko… gagawin ko.”

He also shared his early understanding and acceptance of same-sex love: “It’s just two normal people na nagmamahalan… I’m thankful for them kasi feeling ko hindi ako ganitong klase tao o nasa position na ito kung hindi dahil sa kanila.”
