Megan Young And Mikael Daez Give Glimpse of Their Bundle of Joy
Congratulations to new parents Megan Young and Mikael Daez, as they shared the first pictures and reels of their new baby boy
Actress and Miss World 2013 Megan Young is now a mom. On Wednesday, May 28, she and her husband, actor Mikael Daez shared a joint Instagram reel, showing their firstborn child.
“An explosion of overwhelming emotions, new chapter unlocked,” Mikael wrote. The Instagram reel showed them waiting for the child for the past weeks.
The video description flashed: “We’ve been waiting for 9 months, even the dogs have been helping incubate, making sure you are safe.”
“Mama [is] staying strong, having fun with you, daddy turning you into bongos. And now, you are here,”
Megan Young: Filled with Love
In another reel, Megan showed the snaps of her growing baby bump ending with the photo of her, Mikael, and the baby.
“Welcome to the outside world, our little one!!!” Megan wrote. “It’s been a week with him, and we’re filled with so much love.”
Many of the friends commented with congratulatory messages and their hopes of meeting the baby boy, whose name they have yet to share.
Megan and Mikael join the list of growing celebrity parents in the past months who have given birth or are about to be parents. Fellow Miss World Philippines titleholder Laura Lehmann recently gave birth to a daughter, Solana.
The Journey to Becoming a Mom
Megan and Mikael first announced they were expecting their baby in December. It was followed by a baby shower, announcing it was going to be a boy. They also shared a video of their maternity shoot.
Throughout the waiting period, the couple, who have a podcast on relationships, talked about the journey and challenges of being soon-to-be parents, and debunking reports about their hesitations about having a child.
“Before, we would always say we’re okay with not having kids as of the moment, but also okay with having kids,” Megan explained in an episode of their podcast. “ I think a lot of people thought na ayaw natin magka-anak. And that’s not necessarily true because we did have an idea that we were open to the idea of having kids.”
And with the arrival of the baby, it’s clear the adventure is about to begin. Congratulations, Megan and Mikael!
