Kiefer Ravena Is Going To Be A Dad
The Japan-based Filipino basketball player announced on Instagram that he and his fiancee Diana Mackey are expecting their first child
The basketball phenom is about to become a dad soon. Kiefer Ravena announced on Instagram on Tuesday, March 18, that he and his fiancee, beauty queen Diana Mackey, a Pinoy Big Brother alumna, are expecting their first child.
“MARCHing together in this beautiful journey with @dianacmackey. You are Amazing and You are destined to be a Super Mommy,” he wrote of his fiancee, showing him hugging her as she clutched on to a pair of sneakers and a sonogram.
“We can’t wait to see you Litol One. With your Guidance, Lord.”

Their friends took to the comments section, congratulating them for the baby. Beauty queen and actress Franki Russell, one of Diana’s best friends and her maid of honor in their upcoming wedding, took to Instagram stories.
“ Bride to be becomes mommy to be,” she wrote of her friend. “ So happy for you and Kiefer [Ravena]. As your maid of honor, it’s my responsibility to make sure you still feel the vibes all year with no alcohol. I love you [and] so proud of you.”
Blooming romance
News of Kiefer and Diana’s relationship made headlines last year when they started posting photos together from vacations, confirming they were a couple. On November 1, Kiefer proposed to Diana in Japan. Diana, who previously joined Binibining Pilipinas, shared a photo with Kiefer as she showed her ring and pictures of the proposal.
“Suddenly i’m left handed,” she captioned the photo tagging Kiefer.

Kiefer, who has played for Ateneo during his college years, previously played for the NLEX Warriors at the PBA. He then moved to Japan, where he is currently playing for the Japanese B.League team Yokohama B-Corsairs.
In an interview with The Game last year, Kiefer admitted that playing abroad can be challenging since he misses his family and many milestones.
“It’s one of the prices that you pay for playing overseas. It comes with it. They say that we went there for greener pastures, better future, and yeah, it is true. Pero it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, there’s always a catch to it, and being away from family is one of the hardest, especially [since] you miss birthdays, you miss Christmas, you miss New Year,” he said.
But he has learned to adapt, he said, since Japan is just four hours away from the Philippines and he can visit when he’s on breaks.
We can’t wait to meet the baby!
The next months will be busy indeed for Kiefer and Diana as they prepare for the wedding and the baby coming. But as early as now, their followers can’t wait to meet the bundle of joy.
Congratulations Kiefer and Diana!
