What Stories Can A Woman’s Skin Tell?
A tribute to the feminine, Lactacyd hosts a display—the Museum of Speaking Skin—and showcases the many vibrant experiences of womanhood
While clothes share a bit about a woman’s character, skin tells her story. From the wrinkles to the smoothness, it gives a glimpse of the many experiences she’s gone through. What better way to tell the emotions and experiences behind each story than through art? Last September 24, 2025, Lactacyd formally opened the Museum of Speaking Skin—an interactive exhibit—while launching the newest addition to their skincare products: the Lactacyd Body Wash, with their newly formulated LACTOBIOME+™.

Experience womanhood through the various displays
The Museum of Speaking Skin has multiple rooms that showcase the many exclusively female experiences. Guests could admire the many art pieces of different media and listen to the inspiration and explanation behind them after scanning the QR code next to each piece. Some of the artworks included Michelle Alde’s Of Poise and Power and Luciano Fernandez’s Skin at Play. Each artist had a piece that would give viewing families a look into the female experience.
“When we first came up with the museum, we wanted to tell different skin’s stories more closely to art,” shares Lactacyd brand manager Jamie Superable-Martin. “At the same time, we wanted to celebrate different Filipino artists and share their skin stories.”

Moms, women, and their daughters could further celebrate their skin with the many Instagram-worthy backdrops. A gentle rain-styled curtain, a fluffy couch spot, and even Jos Curates’ She is Sanctuary sculpture—it was a creative nudge to empower women to further embrace their skin’s stories.
“We hope the museum inspires women to listen to their skin and its needs,” adds Jamie. “All throughout the museum, we hope that it empowers women to be more confident and to step out from the fear of talking about taboos. We also hope they’ll learn how to advocate for their own skin health, too!”
Towards the end of the display, Lactacyd’s new body wash was available for those who are looking for a gentle advocate for their skin.

A gentle advocate is all our skin needs
Whenever we use the word “empower,” it’s often associated with something “aggressive” or “drastic.” But the truth is—advocating isn’t always something loud. Sometimes, it can be something subtle. It can be changing up a body wash into something or adding an extra step in our skincare routine to start off the day.
Especially when life gets hard, nothing beats knowing someone or something is advocating or speaking on our behalf. Because when we speak up for our skin, we also speak up for the part of us that longs to be the beauty that they’ve always dreamed of being.
