A Mother’s Pride: Min Bernardo on Kathryn Bernardo’s Global Milestone
Min Bernardo pens a message for her daughter, actress Kathryn Bernardo, who is set to get her Madame Tussauds wax figure in 2026
For parents, seeing their children shine is a testament that they’ve raised them well. For Min Bernardo, her daughter’s wax figure isn’t just a symbol of fame — it’s a reflection of every parent’s dream fulfilled: to see their child’s light shine bright enough to inspire the world.
Last week, Kathryn was announced as the latest Filipina to get a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.

Min Bernardo: I’ll Always Be Your Number One Fan
On Instagram, Min shared photos of Kathryn at Madame Tussauds, expressing how happy she is with her daughter’s new achievement.
“My heart is bursting with pride and joy! Seeing my daughter chosen to have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds feels so surreal,” Min wrote of the announcement.
“As a mom, nothing compares to witnessing her dreams turn into reality — the long days, quiet prayers, and all the hard work leading to this beautiful moment. I’m beyond grateful and proud of the woman she’s become — humble, passionate, and full of heart.”
Min ended the post by congratulating her daughter: “You truly deserve this honor. Mama will always be your number one fan.”

Kathryn’s Time to Shine
Her mother’s words reflect not just pride but the culmination of years of support — something Kathryn herself deeply acknowledges.
In a press release from Madame Tussauds, Kathryn expressed disbelief that she’s getting her own replica.
“It’s a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I’m grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust in me,” she said. “I’m excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin, especially since Hong Kong holds such a meaningful place in my heart.”
Kathryn underwent measurements with the Madame Tussauds team in August.
She joins the growing list of Filipinos whose faces are displayed in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, including Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, and actress Anne Curtis.
Broadway star Lea Salonga and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s likenesses are displayed in the museum’s Singapore branch.
Set to be unveiled in 2026, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said they have always valued Filipino visitors who come to the museum.
“Kathryn is an inspiring artist who has worked tirelessly to achieve her success. At Madame Tussauds, we honor excellence with a global impact, making Kathryn the perfect choice for our next Filipino wax figure,” said Wade Chang, General Manager of Merlin Entertainments Hong Kong.

Congratulations, Kathryn!
As Kathryn prepares to be immortalized in wax, her success stands as a tribute not only to her talent but also to every parent’s faith in their child’s dreams — proof that Filipino excellence continues to shine on the world stage.
