Allen Ansay’s Sister Marian Joins The Voice Kids

Marian Ansay performs “One Moment In Time” and earns a three-chair turn from the coaches

When you have a sibling in showbiz, comparisons are inevitable. But 9-year-old Marian Ansay chose to carve her own path by auditioning for The Voice Kids—and she made quite an impression.

Marian, the younger sister of GMA young actor Allen Ansay, was one of the featured auditionees in the October 5 episode of the show. Her powerful performance earned her a three-chair turn from the coaches.

Marian Ansay’s Love for Music

Before stepping on stage, Marian shared her passion for music. She’s already joined several singing competitions, and as the youngest of five children, she was especially excited that her kuya Allen was there to support her in person.

Asked which coach she hoped to work with, Marian answered with a smile: “Julie Anne San Jose. Idol ko po siya.”

Host Dingdong Dantes also asked what advice her brother gave her before the performance.

“Be strong, don’t give up. Always remember the lyrics and feel the song,” Marian shared confidently.

Singing Her Heart Out

Marian performed Whitney Houston’s classic “One Moment In Time,” delivering a moving rendition that earned her chair turns from Billy Crawford, Julie Anne San Jose, and Paolo and Miguel of Ben&Ben.

After her performance, Marian introduced herself to the coaches. Julie, recognizing her last name, asked if she was related to Allen Ansay. When Marian confirmed, Allen joined her onstage.

Kuya Allen Steps In

“Simula nung auditions, she told me, ‘Kuya, gusto ko pag sumali ako dito, ayoko na tutulungan mo ako. Gusto ko makarating ako dito na ibibigay ko ang best ko para deserve yung best ko,’” Allen shared.

(From the start, she told me, ‘Kuya, if I join this, I don’t want you to help me. I want to make it here by giving my best, so I truly deserve it.’)

Allen couldn’t have been prouder of his little sister’s performance.

Julie, visibly touched, shared how meaningful family support had been in her own journey.

“It’s so nice to have that feeling—na yung mga taong nakasuporta at nagmamahal sa iyo ay nandiyan para sumuporta,” she said.

Billy Crawford added that despite Marian’s young age and limited experience, her performance was deeply moving.

A Promising Beginning

In the end, Marian chose Julie as her coach—and was warmly welcomed to the team.

With the Blind Auditions just beginning, many more young talents will take the stage. But Marian’s journey is already a standout—not just for her voice, but for the quiet strength of her family’s support.

Whether you’re a parent, sibling, or guardian, just being present for your child’s moment to shine can make all the difference. Support doesn’t always mean taking the lead—sometimes, it’s stepping back and letting them rise.
