High school musical actress and singer Ashley Tisdale reveals in a post that the baby shower for her second baby is her first ever!
Some of us are feeling our age as Ashley Tisdale (who played the fabulous Sharpay in High School Musical) is now expecting her second baby and recently held a baby shower! In the post, she laments a bit that she couldn’t hold a baby shower for Jupiter (her firstborn) which makes this her first one.
“This was so, so special to celebrate with all my favorite people. Thanks for all the love and support in so many precious moments 🤍,” Ashley writes.
What makes Ashley Tisdale’s baby shower so pretty
If some of us are expecting moms or are the baby shower planners for our expecting friends, here’s what we noticed in hers.
While most Filipinos hold their baby showers inside like an events place or a restaurant, there’s a rustic charm to having an alfresco one. Unfortunately, the weather in the Philippines isn’t cooperating at the moment but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to emulate it. In the case of Ashley Tisdale’s baby shower, it was an all-white rustic-themed one with white knitted elements, greenery, and wood. Luckily, some restaurants sport a garden theme already!
There’s also a streamer of small bulbs which we can replace with Christmas lights. In some events places, those streamers are part of the “ceiling treatment” so it might cost a bit. It can be DIY-ed but it’s a bit risky especially when we don’t know the electrical systems of the place.
Why we love baby showers
Besides baby showers being a gathering for friends and family, it’s also a way to hype up the family concerned: a new baby is someone to celebrate!
Filipinos thrive in a party culture; we love celebrating everything — both bad and good. But it can get overwhelming to organize which is why some tend to forgo holding one, considering the expenses, the logistics, the suppliers, and all. Yet, we forget that a baby shower doesn’t have to be some grand debut. It’s more of a family get-together that marks the start of a new life.
Ashley Tisdale announced last April 7 that she was expecting her second baby. Her daughter, Jupiter Iris French, is currently three years old.
