The avocado is a versatile fruit and can be used in drinks, salads, dips, and spreads. It’s also known as a source of good fat to include in a meal.

One of the most common recipes to use avocados is the avocado toast. Just mash the avocado, spread it like jam, and add your favorite protein to it. The best part? It can be eaten at any time of the day.

Here are three Avocado toast ideas that you can try. Remember, you can always mix and match them with your choice of protein or ingredients.

Avocado Toast with Egg

Ingredients:

1 or 2 slices of bread of your choice toasted (tasty or sourdough preferred)
1 avocado mashed or sliced
2 eggs scrambled 
Salt to taste

Procedure:

  1. Slice the avocado in the middle. Twist it and open it.
  2. Scoop the avocado filling with a spoon. You can also peel it and slice it.
  3. Mash the avocado to your preference.
  4. Get a slice of bread of your choice and put it in the toaster. Once toasted, spread the avocado on the bread.
  5. Put a pinch of salt and adjust it according to your taste.
  6. Top it with an egg and enjoy it!

Note: Your egg depends on your preference. You can either have it sunny side up, boiled, poached, or scrambled.

Avocado and Tomato Toast

For the vegetarians out there, the avocado and tomato toast might be your thing!

Ingredients 

1 or 2 slices of bread of your choice toasted (tasty or sourdough preferred)
1 avocado mashed or sliced
1 tomato sliced 
Salt to taste or Everything But The Bagel seasoning

Procedure

  1. Follow steps 1 to 4 as indicated above.
  2. Slice the tomato after washing it.
  3. Once you spread the avocado on the toast, you can add the tomato and adjust the salt or use a different seasoning, like Everything But The Bagel, to make it delicious.

Avocado and Honey Toast

This is partially inspired by the avocado toast Kylie Jenner made, which many dubbed as the “Kylie Jenner toast,” except this one doesn’t have red pepper flakes.  

Ingredients

1 or 2 slices of bread of your choice toasted (tasty or sourdough preferred)
1 avocado mashed or sliced
Honey to drizzle
Salt to taste or Everything But The Bagel seasoning

  1. Do steps 1 to 4 
  2. Spread the avocado on the bread. Put a pinch of salt and a drizzle of honey. 
  3. As an option, you can put chili flakes to get that Kylie Jenner feel.
