Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger Welcome Second Child
The couple announced the arrival of their daughter, Eloise Christina, on May 22.
Chris Pratt and his wife, book author Katherine Schwarzenegger announced the arrival of their daughter Eloise Christina. Eloise Christina was born on Sunday, May 22.
“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful,” the couple announced on their social media accounts.
The couple, who have been quiet about the pregnancy, already has a daughter, Lyla, born in August 2020. They tied the knot back in June 2019.
Chris has a son, Jack, from ex-wife Anna Faris.
Quiet family life
Since tying the knot in 2019, Chris and Katherine have kept a low profile except for a few appearances and social causes. The two have partnered with certain groups including the Special Olympics. Katherine’s mom, journalist and author Maria Shriver, and her uncles continue to run it. Maria is the daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver who helped establish the Special Olympics.
Katherine’s dad is actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was also governor of California.
Hearing the news of another grandchild, Maria wrote: “The birth of any child is a miracle. It’s a joy, a blessing! It’s an extraordinary honor to watch your child become a parent. Now for the second time, I feel deeply blessed and overjoyed! @katherineschwarzenegger is such an extraordinary and loving mom. @prattprattpratt is a wonderful father. Eloise is so blessed, as is her entire family. Eloise, we welcome you and we thank god you are here! Love, Mama G.”
Aside from being a book author, Katherine is an animal advocate as well. She works with various groups such as Best Friend Animals Society and ASPCA.
Chris is currently busy promoting Jurassic World Dominion, where he reprises his role as Owen alongside Bryce Dallas Howard.
