It looks like the Devil (Still) Wears Prada in Devil Wears Prada 2!
It’s as Nigel (portrayed by Stanley Tucci) says, “Alright, everyone, gird your loins!” And we should, because Devil Wears Prada 2 has been confirmed. Now in the works and tentatively scheduled to release on May 1, 2026, several news outlets have reported the reprisal of both Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep for the iconic roles — there’s still no final cast. But let’s be honest: we’re all just ecstatic, especially the moms who fell in love with fashion because of this movie!
The Story So Far of Devil Wears Prada 2
Originally a book, the Devil Wears Prada 2‘s title is “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.” However, some sources are saying that the movie will not be following its literary counterpart. It may have its own story hence its title not being fully confirmed other than being “part 2.”
The details as to the casting are also vague, although Puck News revealed that Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep will be reprising their roles as Emily Charlton and Miranda Priestly, respectively. Stanley Tucci also teased about being open to coming back as the excellent art director. However, it would be nice if the original cast came back together.

Many daughters dreamed of being at the height of fashion. But it’s not just because of the clothes; it’s the confidence that comes with it. To be hailed as the pinacle of beauty and fashion is something many women dream of being. So, many of us — when we were still small — would pore over those magazines. Page per page. Word per word. All of the things we read in those magazines were something we aspired to be.
But for the new generation, it’s so much different. With the internet making data easily accessible, fashion didn’t just stay in a magazine. They made it to social media and photoboards like Pinterest. Influencers would come out with their own content and eventually, the fashion magazine became such a big world that the only question was: where? Where does one start on their fashion journey?
Perhaps, the bigger question is: where does our journey as ladies begin in embracing our own brand of beauty?
As of now, there’s no other details other than it’s release next year. It’s a glacial pace that none of us are too thrilled about but, hopefully, news will come out soon!
