Why Donita Rose Considers Herself Lucky With Husband Felson Palad
Donita Rose, who got married for the second time in 2022 to Felson Palad, shares about finding love and forgiving her ex-husband.
US-based actress Donita Rose is in the country for a vacation and recently appeared on Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk to share about her new life as a wife to Felson Palad and doing a movie to be shown on Amazon Prime. She got real about being married again and forgiving her former husband.
Donita on loving again and being whole
During the interview, Donita admits that sometimes she feels like it’s still a dream that she has a partner again. “Ang dami kong dinaanan bago ako nakarating dito,” pertaining to her state of life. ” Matinding depression yung pinagdaanan ko. And for somebody as jolly and as happy as I am, to go through depression, I didn’t understand at that time.”
Despite the struggle and failure of her first marriage with whom she has a son, Donita said she does not have regrets. ” Kasi ngayon para ako naging buo. Actually, nangyari iyon before I met Felson. Now, I know who I am, my identity is not in another person.”
The former MTV VJ added she went through a point in her life when she questioned herself after the breakup. She eventually found her way back to what she considered her first love – her faith. And while she admitted to questioning God about what she went through, she eventually surrendered and moved on.
Asked if she has forgiven herself and her ex-husband, she said yes, adding that she also apologized to him for an answer in an interview several years back.
A prayer list
Donita also shared that before meeting Felson, she had a list of qualities she prayed for.
“[It was] very specific. Sabi ko na gusto ko ng pastor, kung puwedeng worship leader. Dapat Pinoy or at least half. Dapat guwapo s’yempre and dapat matangkad pa kaysa sa akin,” she enumerated.
She also mentioned that the person should be someone who can provide and is funny and as corny as it may sound to some, if possible he was pure. When they started dating, Felson admitted to her about his status, she just simply laughed and told him about the prayer she told God.
As for her son JP, Donita said that every day she prays he would love God all the time. As for marriage, she completed the sentence by saying it’s “pure bliss.”
