Elisse Joson Lives Her Proud Mama Moment When Felize Goes To School

Celebrity mom Elisse Joson commemorates her daughter, Felize’s, first day of nursery school and praises her for how brave and adventurous her daughter was.

Every parent wants to document their kids’ very first day of school. Whether it’s in Nursery, Grade School, High School, or College, we take photos to commemorate our [our kids and us] efforts in making it into school. The same goes for celebrity mom Elisse Joson as she documents Felize’s first day of nursery school — her “superstar” was all smiles as she made her way into school.

“And she’s off to school 🥹 @babyfelize is not a baby anymore,” Elisse writes on her Instagram.

Based on the post, Felize’s first day of school started on August 21, 2024, and was in the morning class that starts at 9:30 AM.

A family effort!

Celebrity mom Elisse Joson wasn’t the only one who celebrated Felize’s first day in school. McCoy de Leon found a way to contribute by preparing a special breakfast composed of their daughter’s favorites: egg fried rice, pancakes, chicken nuggets, and assorted vegetables — a heavy breakfast for their daughter’s eventful day. Their involvement is probably the biggest contributor to their daughter’s bright smile.

Felize was quite comfortable as Elisse showed, revealing a photo of which “ribbon” her daughter picked to meet her classmates with.

But their involvement doesn’t just stop there. School is still a family affair; something that Elisse reminds moms and dads with a write-up on the image she posted of her holding Felize’s hand.

“For as long as I can, as long as you’ll let me, I’ll take you to school hand in hand,” Elisse writes.

As small and as simple as the act of walking our kids to school looks, it’s a memory parents cherish forever. Bittersweet for us in a way — we slowly accept the reality that our kids are venturing into the world without us yet, we’re comforted by the possibility that they’ll meet kids their age who may become their lifelong friends.

First day of school: one of the parents’ core memories

Every parent has core memories they cherish — whether good or bad. These then influence our parenting, changing as our kids grow. Besides witnessing our kids’ first steps, their first day at school is just momentous for us. In a way, it’s a less extravagant debut but a critical one nonetheless. School is where we also open our homes to others from different walks of life who may have our kids’ best interests at heart.

While Elisse Joson and McCoy De Leon may find parent friends from Felize’s nursery school, their daughter may find her friends for life.
