Moms and Dads

These Hotels Treat Dads Like Kings on Father’s Day!

Especially for Father’s Day, hotels Marriott, Sofitel, and Shangri-La have a special treat for our dads on Father’s Day.

If mom’s the queen, dad’s the king. Especially on Father’s Day, we show our dad his much needed appreciation in the best way we know how: through his stomach. We know the old saying, “the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!” Same rule still applies for dads and it’s time to up our culinary game. But we don’t have to turn our kitchen upside down to make Father’s Day special for dad. These hotels are here to help us make Father’s Day special.

Shangri-La The Fort

Shangri-La The Fort makes itself well-known for its very extensive buffet in the High Street Café. But it has more restaurants than that. For dads who have a sweet tooth, Bake House Manila has a choice between a Rocky Tiramisu or Mango Cheesecake. But if your dad has more refined tastes and wants a bit of kick in his cake, they also have the Chocolate Overload topped with 120ml Raging Bull Chophouse Negroni.

But not all dads can handle sweets. Diabetes is very real after all. So for those with dads that have diabetes, the Well-Done, Dad package fits the less sugar requirement perfectly. It’s the Raging Bull Chophouse & Bar Grill-It-Yourself Steak Kit that offers 2 Australian Wagyu Ribeye Steaks with a delectable peppercorn gravy. If he wants to relive basketball night, there’s the Raging Bull Burgers How to Kickass at Home Burger Kit that let him enjoy that smoky burger tastes as if he’s watching his favorite basketball team live.

And if you’re planning to order, make sure you check out their website first at: http://www.shangrilafortexclusives.com/.

Marriott Hotel

If dad’s a fan of Sci-Fi like Star Trek and Star Wars, he’s definitely going to get a kick out of Marriott Hotel‘s new ordering system. Dine in Marriott Hotel and experience their QR-code guided menu. All you have to do is open the QR-code scanner on your food and scan the food of your choice. Once you do, follow the instructions and the chef will serve your favorite fresh seafood dishes or newly seared steak straight to your table.

Best part is, if you’re planning to beat dad to the bill, you can pay using PayMaya or GCash. We know how dads feel they should always pay for the bill for the fam. But just this once, let’s be the ones to pay. Before you go, make sure you check out the details of their FB, IG, and Twitter at @ManilaMarriott.

Sofitel

Since closed areas are not a good idea during the COVID-19 pandemic, maybe dad would prefer eating alfresco at Sofitel. The hotel’s pretty famous for its signature restaurant, Spiral, which has a variety of foods made from all parts of the world. Last we checked, there’s a Gyu Asupara Maki (Beef Asparagus Roll) with his name on it from the Japanese atelier. But if he wants to eat extra fancy, there’s the cassoulet toulousain waiting for him at the French Atelier.

But if dad’s looking for a party and not too much fine dining, the Food Truck’s outside waiting for him to try out. Nothing better than some foie gras cheeseburger sliders, softshell crab tacos, truffle bellychons, Hungarian sausages, and jerk chickens to enjoy with his favorite ice-cold beer or maybe his favorite juice. Make sure to make a reservation in Sofitel through their email: [email protected] or call them at +63 (02)8832-6988 before June 17-20, 2021. That’s when the slots get too hot for grabs!

Mom’s a queen and dad’s a king

Just like how you spoiled us on Mother’s Day, we think that dad should have a chance to be spoiled too especially on Father’s Day. While giving him gifts — handmade or not are good, we want to try taking it over the top by giving him a meal he’ll never forget. Just make sure before you go to the hotels that you observe all health protocols to keep you and your family safe this Father’s Day.
