Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen and football star Tom Brady, who have two children, announced their divorce and will continue to co-parent their kids.

Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen and her husband, football star Tom Brady confirmed they are divorcing. The couple announced the decision to part ways in their respective statements on Instagram.

Gisele Bündchen: The decision to end a marriage is not easy

Gisele said that she and Tom have amicably decided to part ways and that their kids will come first. ” My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart.”

“We will continue co-parenting to give them love, care, and attention they greatly deserve.”

The former supermodel and book author said like every couple, ending a marriage is not easy.

“The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” she said.

The Tampa Bay Bucaneers football player said he and Gisele are still blessed thanks to their kids Vivian and Benjamin. Tom also has a son, John with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

“We are blessed with wonderful and beautiful children who will continue to be the center of our world everyday,” Tom said. “We will continue to work as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

The NFL quarterback admitted it wasn’t easy for both of them. “We wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapter in our lives that are yet to be written.”

Both ended their statements by asking for privacy.
