For some, these oils can even have a positive effect on their spirit and psychological well-being. Nowadays, people are still looking for safer alternative treatments. Having rediscovered its many uses and how these can improve one’s health, the rise of natural remedies such as essential oils have quickly gained popularity. Through aromatherapy, topical application, or even dietary consumption, you too can reap the benefits of these age-old cures.

Peppermint Oil

This is great for treating hot flashes. Apply a drop on the nape or along the collarbones to cool off. This oil can also relieve pain from aching muscles and joints. Dilute the oil by mixing a drop or two of it with a teaspoon of carrier oils, like coconut oil, jojoba oil, and olive oil. Apply this mixture to the mentioned areas.

Eucalyptus Oil

Reducing blood sugar levels and promoting blood circulation are just some of the reasons why this Australian evergreen tree is helpful to diabetics. This essence can also help clear up a stuffy nose. Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to hot water and inhale the steam to decongest your sinuses.

Lavender Oil

Having a tough time dozing off? Induce sleep with some lavender oil. Dilute the essence and rub some along the sides of the neck and breathe in the calming aroma to finally enjoy a deep slumber.

Oregano Oil

Soothe a sore throat by gargling water with oregano extract. Do this multiple times a day for fast relief. This can also treat common colds and flu quicker.

Rosemary Oil

If tight schedules don’t permit for relaxing beach trips, give rosemary a try. Its immensely soothing scent melts stress away by relaxing nerves and loosening up muscles.
