KC Concepcion Shares How Life Is Like with Her Dads Gabby and Kiko
In her own vlog, actress, and entrepreneur KC Concepcion recalled how she reunited with her Papa Gabby and discussed her relationship with her dad Kiko Pangilinan.
KC Concepcion released her own vlog detailing how she was able to reestablish her relationship with her dad Gabby Concepcion in her adult years. The vlog came after Gabby released his own vlog, sharing how he and KC were able to bond again in her adult years. In the same vlog, KC paid tribute to her other father Kiko Pangilinan.
A precious gift from Gabby
KC recalled that during her 18th birthday, a woman approached her to give something from Gabby. It was a Tiffany necklace.
“This was his 18th birthday gift for me,” KC shared. “Nagulat ako and there was a letter that he wrote that really made me want to see him again.”
Kc said it took another three or four years before she finally got to see Gabby in the United States. The necklace, she added, was her “reconnection” to him.
“Kaya siguro ang naging love language ko talaga [are] gifts. Kasi it means a lot. Yung parents ko, they were busy also and whenever they would leave me a gift, I would always feel like nakasama ko sila. It’s like a hug, like an embrace.”
Moreover, KC mentioned that she was not sure if it was okay for her to reach out. She eventually did and they reconnected. Upon reconnecting with her dad, KC got to reunite with her dad’s side of the family in the United States as well.
The story also inspired another artist, Moira dela Torre. KC said that by sharing her story, she hopes that she and her dad are able to inspire parents and children who have been yearning to be reunited with each other because of different circumstances in their lives.
Forever grateful to Kiko
In the same vlog, KC paid tribute to her other dad Kiko, who raised her like his own after he married Sharon Cuneta, KC’s mother. While she was fixing her relationship with Gabby, KC said she is very grateful to Kiko.
“I’m so grateful to have had a taste of what it feels like to have a complete family,” she said. “To have someone who I can call my dad. Throughout the story with me and Papa, I had my dad.”
Showing the necklace she wore on the vlog, KC said it was a wedding gift she got from Kiko when he married Sharon. “May wedding gift din ako kasi he said that when he married my mom, he married me. Package deal kami nung time na iyon. And thank you for accepting me and for loving me as your own.”
Kiko has two other daughters – Kakie and Miel. He and Sharon also adopted a son, Miguel.
