Christmas Just Became More Magical with the New Miracle Garden in Calasiao

Pangasinan spreads cheer for the young ones and the young at heart as the town showcases a mesmerizing holiday sight to see.

After two years of gloom brought by the pandemic, Calasiao, Pangasinan lights up a Christmas Village to unfold hope and magic this season. Mayor Mamilyn “Maya” Agustin-Caramat opened the newest family destination last November 28, 2022, made in inspiration of the popular Miracle Garden in Dubai.

As gratitude for winning the city’s vote, Mayor Agustin-Caramat stood before the crowd during the launch and said, “Seeing you all tonight with so much joy and excitement gives me happiness and satisfaction because the essence of Christmas is the joy it brings to people.”

“Miracle Garden” was chosen as the theme because for the mayor, “a garden with flowers in bloom brightens up our mood”. She teamed up with the local creative agency, Couple Minds Events Studio, to create a special and memorable occasion. A giant Christmas tree adorned with vibrant, decorative flowers and holiday ornaments is the main attraction of the site. What makes it even more beautiful is the blossoming flowers decked in every corner, truly creating a stunning Miracle Garden that is a picture-perfect backdrop for families celebrating in festivity.

Other attractions also filled the area for children’s enjoyment such as the traditional nativity scene, and cartoon favorites Elsa and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen, Spiderman, Batman, Transformers, and of course, Santa Claus.

It was the first time such a breathtaking landscape was displayed in Calasiao, attracting not just Pangasinenos but even visiting tourists. Onlookers will get to not just experience the merriment of Pangasinan, but also the delicacies the town offers, especially its best known product, the Calasiao puto or native rice cake that Filipino kids and even adults truly treasure.

A perfect advent for the most wonderful time of the year, the Calasiao Miracle Garden is a must-see treat of sights, sounds, and merriment for all families out there. But most importantly, it honors the true spirit this season—reflection, thanksgiving, and celebration.

The Calasiao Miracle Garden will be open to the public until February 14 next year, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, nightly. Admission is free as a treat from the mayor’s generosity.
