This Is How You Can Support These Filipino-Palestinian Families

Filipino-Palestinian families displaced by the war in Gaza have been cooking and selling their food online to augment their income in the country

We all have been saddened, frustrated, and angered by the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, which has affected Gaza, killed millions of people, and displaced innocent families. The families include Filipinos married to Palestinians, some of them just starting their lives when the war broke out. Thus to restore the feeling of home, Little Gaza Kitchen was born.

Little Gaza Kitchen's efforts

Several Filipino-Palestinian families live in Commonwealth, Quezon City while others live out of Metro Manila. Kind strangers have been sending supplies and donations which the families appreciate.

Several wives, mostly Filipinas, have been cooking Middle Eastern dishes they sell online and in bazaars. This not only earns them income but promotes the culture of their spouses. Check out some of the dishes they sell through the Little Gaza Kitchen and Gazan Home Kitchen.

You can help in other ways too!

More than ordering food, you can also help the families in other capacities. Some of them offer basic Arabic lessons while others have sold their artworks.

The people behind Little Gaza are also preparing for more talks to enlighten Filipinos about their situation. Let’s support them through food, art, or conversations as they immerse themselves in Philippine society.
