Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez’s daughter Maria Reanna was baptized with several familiar faces as godparents
Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez welcomed their daughter Maria to the Christian world over the weekend when she was formally baptized.
Many of the couple’s close friends from showbiz were present and served as godparents. Some of those who shared photos include Darren Espanto, MJ Lastimosa, and Maine Mendoza. Dr. Aivee Teo also shared photos from the christening.
Quiet return to Manila
Maja and Rambo welcomed Maria on May 31 while in Canada. the couple has since returned, with Maja getting back in shape through dances with teacher Georcelle, which she would occasionally share on Instagram.
The actress and dancer revealed that before she welcomed Maria, she endured some challenges, saying she had a uterine inversion.
Uterine Inversion is considered a rare and serious complication. According to Cleveland Clinic, it’s when the placenta turns the uterus inside-out when the mother’s body expels it after birth. Also known as Uterine Atony, some cases usually need surgery to reposition it. The worst-case scenario involves a hysterectomy — a more radical surgery wherein the uterus is completely removed.
Despite the risk, she said it was worth it.
Maja and Rambo announced the pregnancy last December. The couple tied the knot twice last year in a civil wedding in February and an out-of-the-country wedding in Bali held last August.
