14 Memorable Songs from Meteor Garden and Boys Over Flowers Series

Enjoy and reminisce some of the songs from your favorite Hana Yori Dango adaptation.

If you haven’t been watching television or online streaming, a Thai version of Hana Yori Dango or Boys Over Flowers, F4 Thailand starring Thai superstars Bright Vachirawit and Metawin Opas-iamkajorn has been getting a lot of fanbase since its broadcast last December. The show not only earned a fanbase from today’s generation of viewers but also brought back the Moms and Titas of Manila of their kilig in the early 2000s.

But the adaptations are not the only ones worth remembering. The original soundtrack of the show plays a big role in some of the most iconic scenes. We rounded up some of the most familiar songs from different adaptations and you might find yourself reminiscing all over again.

Meteor Garden (2001, Taiwan)

Qing Fei De Yi by Harlem

Who could not forget the iconic opening song of the show that catapult Jerry Yan, Barbie Hsu, Vic Zhou, Vaness Wu, and Ken Chu to stardom in Asia? The song was also used in the 2018 Chinese edition starring Dylan Wang.

Ni Yao De Ai by Penny Tai

The closing song of the show also got a new spin in the 2018 Chinese version.

Broken Vow by Lara Fabian

The song was used in Meteor Garden Book 2.

Hana Yori Dango (2005, Japan)

Hana Yori Dango Main Theme

The main opening song that would later be played in various parts of the show including the infamous punch of Tsukushi on Tsukasa.

Flavor of Life by Utada Hikaru

Japanese singer Utada Hikaru’s “Flavor of Life” was included in the series.

Love so Sweet by Arashi

The song was used in Hana Yori Dango Returns.

Boys Over Flowers (2009, South Korea)

Stand By Me by Shinee

Shinee’s single was included in the Boys Over Flowers soundtrack in Korea and remains one of the favorites of the fans.

Paradise by T-Max

The song performed by T-Max served as the opening of the series. One of its members Kim Joon was part of the show.

Yearning Heart by A’ST1

Performed by A’ST1, the song is also a favorite of the fans who watched Boys Over Flowers.

Meteor Garden (2018, China)

Aside from the songs from Meteor Garden in 2001, 2018 also released songs performed by its four main cast members led by Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, Caesar Wu, and Connor Leong.
