Michelle Madrigal Explains Her Approach to Raising Daughter Anika
In an Instagram post, US-based actress Michelle Madrigal shares why she’s taking the conscious parenting approach in raising her daughter, Anika.
Parenting a child can have different approaches. Some raise their kids like their parents raised them, while others have taken a new approach. US-based actress Michelle Madrigal is one of those who are raising kids with what is called conscious parenting or gentle parenting.
Michelle took to Instagram to explain her approach to raising her daughter Anika. “Becoming a mom to Anika has transformed how I approach parenting,” she explained. “I’ve embraced conscious parenting, prioritizing her needs above all else. Coming from a different era, I had to learn the art of gentle parenting, aiming to create a deep bond with my daughter.”
The former Star Circle Quest contender added that she is glad that her daughter confides to her about her concerns. “My goal is to encourage a safe, nurturing environment for Anika and any future children I may have,” she added. “I believe in providing guidance without TYING THEIR WORTH to achievements, whether it’s in sports or any other pursuit.”
Michelle Madrigal on striking a balance
Michelle also wrote that it’s very important to “strike a balance” in guiding and letting kids explore.
“It truly takes a community filled with love, empathy, and patience to raise kind-hearted, respectful children,” she said.

Michelle, a single mom has been co-parenting Anika with her ex-husband Troy Woolfork since their divorce in 2021. She occasionally shares vlogs on lifestyle and fitness on top of being a realtor in the US.
