Bb. Pilipinas International 2024 Myrna Esguerra To Parents: ‘May Graduate Na Kayo, May Beauty Queen Pa Kayo!’

Myrna, who won the top title at the 60th edition of the pageant graduated with a Tourism Management degree from the City Colleges of Angeles

A parent wants to see their child graduate from school and fulfill his or her dreams. For newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 Myrna Esguerra, not only won the title from the pageant but also a diploma.

Myrna shared her graduation pictures with the message: ” Crown or Diploma? I say why should I choose between a diploma and a crown when I can have both? Ma, Pa! Graduate nako- May graduate na kayo, may Beauty Queen pa kayo!”

She then shared a bible verse and quote from the late Nelson Madela about challenges in life, which helped her get through her struggles as a student and now a titleholder.

Myrna Esguerra recalls challenges as a child

The beauty queen and host from Abra recalled how she would do things herself when she was seven.

” I had to handle everything on my own – going to school, cooking my meals, and doing my laundry, despite having hands too small for the task. I had to manage these responsibilities because my mother was working abroad,” she said of those years as a child.

“It wasn’t a matter of choice, but of necessity driven by my circumstances. That little girl fought so hard, I am so proud of you little Myrna,” she continued.

Although she had to rely on herself many times, Myrna said she reminded herself so many times why she kept marching on.

” I had to hug myself so many times to continue and I kept on reminding myself of the reasons why I should push through and one of the reasons is to prove that no matter who you are or where you came from you can dream BIG and make that dream your reality and I’m happy and proud to share to all of you that I DID IT,” she said.

” It wasn’t easy, it was so hard but because of all the people who showed me love, kindness, understanding, and support I’m able to do and achieve all these. Kaya Maraming Salamat po.”
