New Restaurants For Parents To Try On Valentine’s Day 2025

Tired of the usual haunts? Here are some new restaurants that have caught our eye for this Valentine’s Day 2025

The problem with the usual Valentine’s Day restaurants is that it’s already common knowledge, running the risk of us losing our reservations. Unfortunately, that leaves us with another problem — trying out new places leaves us unsure if the quality matches the price. But don’t worry, we found some good restaurants that are worth changing the beat for Valentine’s Day 2025:

Bistrot Le CouCou

Who doesn’t want to experience a romantic dinner in Paris? If that’s currently not possible then, Bistrot Le CouCou is the answer to that problem! The latest addition to the French-Spanish selection of restaurants opens its doors at Bonifacio High Street in BGC, offering a wide variety of curated wines and Parisian dishes. As for the interior and aesthetic, it follows the traditional European bistro design with simple wooden furniture but elegant tableware. Some of its more notable dishes include the Entrecote & Frites (1 kg) and the Duck Confit. If anyone wants to go for the full French experience, they have Escargot too!

But don’t just focus on the mains. They also have appetizers charge up the palate and elevate the experience. The Oscietra Caviar or their Oysters pair well with many of their white wine selections. To end the date, desserts like their Profiteroles and drinks from the bar like the Le CouCou Sour and the Le Fleur will do the trick!

They’re currently open from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday to Thursday and 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Bistrot Le CouCou is currently located at the 2nd Level, One Bonifacio High Street Mall, 28th St, corner 5th Ave, Taguig, 1214 Metro Manila.

Alma

If you’ve been craving the Mediterranean-Spanish flavors that brought your experience in Siargao over the top, then you’re in luck: Alma’s now available in Metro Manila! Brought here by Chef Luis Martinez, the charming, beachside rustic restaurant is now open at Poblacion, Makati. It serves unique Mediterranean-Spanish dishes such as Prawns Carpaccio Seafood Paella and Slow-cooked Truffle Honey Iberico Pork Ribs.

One look at Alma and it’ll send vibes of a more like a beachside date. The focus on wooden and woven furniture creates a breezy feeling which is perfect for parents who would still like a date but not dress too fancily for it. After all, in the area of Poblacion, walking is the best way to discover other food gems that hid themselves in the area.

Alma Poblacion is currently located at 5887 Fermina, cor Enriquez, Makati, 1210 Metro Manila.

Terraza Martinez

For a more refined version of Alma, Chef Luis Martinez brings Terraza Martinez to Metro Manila. Located in Shangri-La The Fort, the restaurant offers a more Valencia-like dining experience with an open kitchen and earth-and-ocean hues and styled interiors. Unlike Alma, Terraza Martinez focuses on more traditional recipes including Chef Martinez’s signature Paella Valenciana.

But don’t let the food experience stop at his signature dish! After all, Spanish food is best enjoyed as a smorgasboard filled with a variety of tapas. The Bacalao Confitado and their Bombas de Salmon Curado y Trufa work perfectly with their selection of paellas. What makes Terraza Martinez stand out, perhaps, is that majority of their dishes focus on seafood and chicken in comparison to the usual Spanish fare of Chorizo, Lengua, Callos, and the like — something many pollo-pescetarian and pescetarian parents may appreciate!

Terraza Martinez is currently located at Shangrila at the Fort The Arcade, 30th corner 5th Ave., 1634 Taguig.

Nothing says Valentine’s more than a European restaurant!

European food has always been associated with romance as the methods to bring out the flavor have always been meticulous. From their steaks, pasta, and even paella, all the food in a European restaurant is served in a size that’s meant for sharing and enjoyed with a glass of wine. After all, February is the month of love which allows us a little indulgence. So, make sure to reserve or contact the restaurant early before it gets full this Valentine’s Day 2025!
