The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants opens in Philippine cinemas on January 14, 2026

A new trailer for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants dropped this week, giving fans a deeper look at SpongeBob’s next big adventure.

Determined to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob—along with Patrick—crosses paths with the Flying Dutchman, a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate who sweeps them into the depths of the sea. The comedy-adventure also features Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and the rest of the Bikini Bottom gang along for the ride.

Derek Drymon directs the film and features returning voice talents Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence, Mr. Lawrence, George Lopez, Ice Spice (Isis Gaston), Arturo Castro, and Sherry Cola. Joining the cast are two newcomers: Regina Hall, known for her comedic roles, and Mark Hamill, celebrated for iconic villain voices such as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
