Nikki Valdez After Miscarriage: ‘Nasa Healing Stage Pa Ako’
Actress Nikki Valdez says she is still in the healing process after her miscarriage last year
Nikki Valdez said that she continues to pray for the right path in her family life after going through a failed pregnancy last year.
In December, Nikki and her husband Luis Garcia celebrated their 7th anniversary as a couple. In an Instagram message, Nikki confirmed that they lose their “embaby.”
On the path to healing
“Ngayon na sa journey pa rin ako ng trying to pray for kung ano talaga ang path na gusto ni Lord na matahak ko. Let’s say ito ang gusto ko pero hindi naman ‘yon ang purpose Niya for me, then so be it,” Nikki said during an interview on Magandang Buhay Wednesday, March 9.
(I am still in that journey of praying for the path the Lord wants me to go. Let’s say this is what I want but this is not the one he wants for me then so be it.)
“Nasa healing stage pa ako. There’s so many days na feeling ko hindi ko lang pinapansin. Pero no regrets at least sinubukan namin. Pero I pray for the total healing of my heart. At kung talagang si Olivia lang ang regalo sa amin ni Lord, I will accept it and I will forever and take care of Olivia, I mean kami ni Luis.“
(I am still in the healing stage. There are so many days I feel I just don’t see it. But there are no regrets at least we tried. But I pray for the total healing of my heart. And if Olivia is God’s gift to us by the Lord, I will accept it and Luis and I will forever take care of Olivia.)
Olivia is her daughter from a previous partner.
Healing takes time
Losing a baby can be traumatic and depressing for mothers so it’s important for family members to help in whatever capacity. But never force the healing because it can get worst. Nikki and other moms out there need time and compassion so it’s very important that we also give them that space.
