It’s a nostalgic feeling for many parents!

Aegis is composed of sisters Juliet, Ken Sunot, and Mercy Sunot along with Rey Abenoja, Rowena Pinpin, Stella Galindo, and Vilma Goloviogo. The group was formed in 1995 and started their career singing in bars and lounges in Japan.

Some of their classic hits include “Halik,” ” Luha,” “Basang-Basa sa Ulan,” and “Ang Buhay Ko.”

The group’s music has been most used in pop culture. The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has even used their songs in the musical Rak of Aegis. Thus, it has gained them a new set of younger fans.

Early this year, the group had a show at the Newport Performing Arts Theater called Aegis Unlimited.

Former The Voice Kids Champion Lyka Gairanod also sang “Basang-Basa sa Ulan” as one fo her pieces for the show.

Fans, especially parents who grew up in the 90s and 2000s, will definitely love to watch the show and bond with their children by introducing Filipino rock and roll to them. These are even songs that many families like to sing during reunions or at the karaoke.

Let’s relive more nostalgic moments!
