The department store teams up with Grounded PH featuringthe podcast, Ocean Adventures with Cory, to educate them on marine conservation.

The world continues to feel the impact of climate change and the retail industry has been doing its part in reinventing and putting in more products that are less harmful to the environment. Rustan’s, the country’s premium department recently held an online educational workshop for kids on the importance of Marine Conversation. The workshop was in partnership with Grounded PH, an art and culture studio that creates content for children.

The workshop called “Growing Up Grounded with Rustan’s” last October 16 featured the podcast “Ocean Adventures with Cory”. Children learned about the importance of conservation awareness and sustainability. Sheila the Shark helped out the kids in getting to know more about her marine friends.

Aside from the podcast, kids and parents in attendance had fun answering questions and were awarded prizes for their participation.

Sustainable and Educational Products

Following the activities, Dina Tantoco, Marketing Communications Manager of Rustan’s Commercial Corporation, said that that the department store is committed to offering items that are eco-friendly and sustainable.

“Rustan’s Kids adds more and more sustainable toys and clothes all the time. And since Christmas is coming up, we’d love to invite all of you to register for gifts and get a chance to get a gift from Santa,” Tantoco said.

At Rustan’s Kids, parents can choose from an array of educational toys they can buy for their children. Products include the Hape’s All-in-1 Kitchen Playset, wherein kids can play and pretend to cook. Meanwhile, parents can help in role-playing in a kitchen set-up.

Another is the Melissa & Doug Cutting Fruit Set. This can help parents teach their kids counting as they use a wooden knife and fruits that can be sliced and put back together.

Parents can also explain the wonders of space with the help of the Janod Silver Magnetic Rocket Kit. Or relax and bond with them by doing artwork with the use of Klaypel Artsy Kits.

At Rustan’s, parents will definitely have everything they want for their kids and that includes being conscious of how it can affect our planet, including marine conservation.
