Tiny Tycoon: Where Kids Learn Business, Confidence, and Creativity
What if your child’s summer activity could spark a lifelong passion?
For kids who love crafting, selling, or dreaming up business ideas, Tiny Tycoon might just be the perfect place to start. Organized by Little Heartbeat and Primary School in partnership with SM Supermalls, Tiny Tycoon is a unique summit designed to create a “tiny economy” where kids can explore entrepreneurship in a fun and supportive environment.
The two-day event is scheduled on May 23 to 24 at the Podium Hall.

Why join Tiny Tycoon?
Tiny Tycoon gives kids the opportunity—alongside their parents—to run their own mini businesses. They can sell pre-loved items, showcase handmade products, or simply experience what it’s like to interact with customers in a public marketplace.
But it’s not just about selling.
Participants will also get the chance to hear from real store owners and CEOs who will share how they built their businesses, the challenges they faced, and the lessons they learned along the way.
For parents, the summit is an opportunity to nurture a child’s creativity, planning skills, and work ethic early on. Kids can register either as Tiny Traders, who will run their own booths, or as part of the SM Little Crew, where they can experience what it’s like to work in a retail environment.
Learning, mentorship, and exciting rewards
Aside from hands-on experience, kids will also have the chance to be mentored and compete for prizes that can help jumpstart their entrepreneurial ideas.
Judges will select the Top 10 Jr. Tank Shark Award Winners, who will each receive PHP 1,000 and a photo shoot feature in Modern Parenting.
For many kids, it could be the first step toward turning a small idea into something bigger.
Early registration perks
Parents who register their kids for Tiny Tycoon by March 26 will also receive a special treat.
Approved participants will get one ticket to a screening of The Super Mario Bros. Movie scheduled on April 11.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Each day of the event will end with a lively dark rave concert, giving families a chance to unwind together after a full day of activities.
Free classes kids can enjoy
Tiny Tycoon will also offer selected free classes that participants can attend with their parents. These include:
- Math Lab
- Public Speaking
- Debate
- Financial Literacy
These workshops aim to build children’s confidence while developing practical skills they can use both in school and in everyday life.
Starting them early
Many parents are constantly looking for ways to keep their kids engaged beyond gadgets and screen time. Events like Tiny Tycoon offer a meaningful alternative—one that combines creativity, learning, and real-world experience.
Who knows? That small booth your child sets up today could be the start of a bigger dream tomorrow.
